Hi! My name is Shana Hale and I am a creative director and graphic designer living in NYC! I was born in a small town outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. A town that loves “hoagies,” “ice wooder” and an occasional TastyKake from the local Wawa.  After finishing high school (and winning the esteemed Senior Superlative “Most Creative,” I attended New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, where I studied Photography and Imaging. In my last year of school, I found my soul mate, a little Shih Tzu named Chum Chum. To this day, we are the best of friends. I’ve been a vegetarian since the age of 8, and ironically her favorite food is a tomato! (Followed by chicken—I mean, she is a dog afterall…)

After receiving my BFA, I started my career in a similar field—one that also focuses on composition—graphic design! Working for a few different companies, I finally found a great match at Better Homes and Gardens magazine. Around the same time, I fell in love with my other soul mate and the rest is history!

In my spare time, you can find me running a race (50 and counting, 3 of which were marathons!), baking a delicious pie or a novelty cake, wearing one of my 50 polka dot ensembles, rubbing Chum Chum’s little belly, watching Goonies for the zillionth time and dancing to some Motown.

I look forward to continuing all of my artistic endeavors—whether they be photography, wedding invitations or the elusive dress constructed out of buttons that I will one day complete!

My work is inspired by the humor I see in the world and the happiness it gives me in return. I hope this site gives you a smile or two…
